Stephen Chatman is Professor and Head of Composition at UBC. A 2007 JUNO nominee, his awards include consecutive Western Canadian Music Awards “Outstanding Classical Composition” (2005, 2006), three B.M.I. Awards, Dorothy Somerset Award, and the 2001 BBC Masterprize short-list. His published works have sold 300,000 printed copies (Schirmer, Oxford UP, Boosey & Hawkes, earthsongs, Frederick Harris, Dorn, and T. Presser).
