Guest Artists and Speakers: Blaine Hendsbee

Blaine HendsbeeTenor Blaine Hendsbee: Appearing regularly in oratorio across Canada. His symphonic roles include Handel's Ode to Saint Cecilia's Day and Messiah, Bach’s St. Matthew and St. John Passions, Haydn’s Creation, Orff’s Carmina Burana, Mozart’s Requiem, Dvorak’s Stabat Mater and Mendelssohn’s Elijah.

His recent operatic performances include: Les Dialogues de Carmelites and Elektra for Vancouver Opera, The Taming of the Shrew and Madama Butterfly (Goro) for Pacific Opera Victoria, The Magic Flute at the National Arts Centre; and Viktor Uhlmann's The Emperor of Atlantis. Other operatic credits include: Susannah (Berkshire Opera), Turandot (Cincinnati Opera), The Rape of Lucretia (Skylight Opera-Milwaukee), The Marriage of Figaro (Canadian Opera Company), and The Abduction from the Seraglio (Pacific Opera Victoria).

Mr. Hendsbee is Professor of Voice and Director of the Opera Workshop at the University of Lethbridge, where this season he produced The Marriage of Figaro.
