Deanna
Kreisel is assistant professor of English at the University of British
Columbia. She specializes in Victorian literature, and has published articles
on George Eliot, Henry James, H. G. Wells, and others. She recently completed
a book on political economy in the novels of Eliot and Thomas Hardy.
