Logistics
For singers and pianists of age 20 and over, who are actively studying and performing classical art song repertoire and are interested in broadening their experience in a relaxed creative scenario. Minimum 5 years of previous study.
Participants may register for the entire 11-day course, or may select a 6-day package: June 17-22 or June 22-27. LLPS students have access to two private lessons and one diction lesson per 6-day package. Extra lessons are possible by private arrangement with faculty instructors. Audition is not required, but a video or DVD recording of two songs is required to assist us in placing you with a compatible duo partner and to co-ordinate our program.
Applications from singer/pianist teams are strongly encouraged. If you are not part of a duo, we will match you with a partner, based on your video and your repertoire list.
All music MUST be completely prepared for master class performance (memorization for singers is preferred but not required) prior to the beginning of the session.
The cost for the full event is $980 (plus GST) for 11 days, or $580 (plus GST) per 6-day package.
All fees are listed in Canadian dollars. Please contact the Registrar in regards to US dollar rates.
NATS – Vancouver Chapter members who sign up for a Flex Pass or Full Festival Pass will have 15% of their tuition fee donated by VISI to the NATS-Vancouver Chapter scholarship fund, to support singers in their ongoing training.

VISI reserves the right to suggest a different stream if deemed necessary.
Because of the need to prepare repertoire, applications for piano students will be accepted until May 15, 2007. Applications for voice students and vocalist/pianist duos will be accepted until the commencement of the institute. Of course, as space is limited immediate registration is recommended.
Pre-registration is required for this stream. Please contact the VISI Registrar in regards to registration questions.
